The nose on this 12.5%-ABV beer hints at how much it has developed in the cellar: Pleasant oxidation floats on the corners of cherry, leather, cocoa and brown bread notes. Tons of lingering toffee, dark cherries and a warming swallow round out the sip. Leather and must add some heft to the beer’s lighter body, which would probably be too thin after another year.
