So this is how it feels?
Have you seen the news?! No no GOD NO not that news. Nope not even on page 1. Ok it’s pretty specific, like mostly in trade publications and substacks but sometimes a mainstream outlet picks it up…the news is: CRAFT BEER IS DYING. YUP. More breweries are closing than opening, the craft beer segment is down a second year in a row, this time 2%, and the prognosis continues to be grim city. Oh and then there’s those idiotic, egregious Canadian tariffs – where all of the aluminum for our cans comes from and about ~85% of our malted barley is grown. And you have Hazy IPA losing its sparkle, as the kids jump around from kombucha to Buzzballz to Prosecco to espresso martinis while every research paper tells you how bad alcohol is for you. It’s like they’ve forgotten about ultra processed foods and microplastics and contaminated watersheds and CO2 emissions and infectious diseases to be like ALSO DO NOT ENJOY THAT PINT IT IS NOT GOOD FOR YOU. So yeah, that’s where we’re at and this is our answer – an undeniably juicy lil hazy crusher with Citra, Mosaic, Sabro, & Krush. Beth once told me, “You can’t let go, you can’t stop, can’t rewind – beer is learned over time” and she’s goddamn right. Time, that’s what we need to weather the storm. Time.
