OZEKI is clean, clear and golden, with a rich, smooth mouthfeel, buoyed by good hopping (Hersbrucker and Crystal). The hops give pleasant floral notes and a hint of lemony acidity too. Super-satisfying, but crushable too. Weightier than a rice lager but just as delicious. FYI: An ‘Ozeki’ (pronounced OH-zecky) is a wrestler who’s achieved the second-highest rank in professional Sumo, and it translates loosely as ‘Champion’. I’m pretty sure all those big sumo guys would drink the hell outta this one. PS Ozeki was the #1 rated Japanese Lager in Oregon in Untappd in 2023!
