If you brew a double ipa, and nobody drinks it, was it ever even brewed? We never asked that question because we haven’t a brewed a Double IPA in almost 2 YEARS which is FUCKING CRAZY. Wanna know why? Honestly, we saw demand/enthusiasm/interest around the Seattle area fall off over the years, and even the national trend moved towards cheap, fruit extract infused, low IBU imperial abominations packaged in 19.2s. That’s not to say they never went away – our friends at HPB, Alvarado St, Ghost Town, Sunriver & Russian River, among others, have been successful at creating delicious regular offerings with passion and intent, to boot! So much so, that they’ve inspired us to make one again, and our first true west coast version to date! This thing is loaded with Chinook, Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra, Amarillo – pellets, incognito, Hyperboost, & Cryo – and it’s dry hopped 3 separate times (aka TDH). A few of these and you too will be lost in the woods…which isn’t a bad place to be right now.
