My first lager under the BreakThru label in two years, this one has been on the docket for a LONG time. I love a good West Coast Pils, and more times than note it just brewed as an IPA with lager yeast and end up lacking depth in my opinion. A true hybrid of styles, this WC Pils was build on a base of extra pale pilsner malt and two row barley. Hopped in the kettle with Hallertau MIttelfrueh throughout the boil to achieve a crisp, appropriate bitterness, lagered extensively and dry hopped with Citra Cryo and Peacharine hops. Bright and crisp, providing notes of tangerine, peach, and passionfruit.
