Steam Noir is our barrel fermented dark lager. This riff on a steam beer was brewed with pilsner, chocolate, caramel, spelt and triticale malts. It was then hopped with Styrian Golding and Tettnang. This version of Steam Noir was fermented in a blend of third-use bourbon and rye barrels that previously held barleywine. Once finished, Steam Noir was lagered in the barrels for three weeks.
