The only thing we love more than brewing with our BFFs is nerding out about lagers with our BFFS. To mark our third anniversary, we got together with our pals over at Lowercase Brewing to offer the L&L&L take on the classic Czech nefiltrované pivo (or unfiltered beer). It all started with a deceptively simple base of classic Raven Czech pilsner malt, which we took on an enhanced decoction journey. All of this nerding out allowed us to tease out layers of complex malt while still managing to be eminently balanced and chuggable. Inspired by one of our favorite beers, Lowercase’s Italian Pilsner, we went with a light dry hop that encourages floral aromatics and a delicious bergamot citrus note.
