A truly “seasonal” beer based off the recipe that won British Beer & Brewery of the year while Kyle was the head brewer at Siren Craft Brew in the UK. This is our fourth year making Wintering a Cozy Stout! Think of it as a breakfast stout with a pleasing addition of Kalesa coffee and a smooth semi-sweet, creamy body (frothed milk coffee drink?!?!). This year we opted to remove the lactose sugar in favor of another, non-allergenic, unfermentable sugar, maltodextrin. The results are really good, the smooth, creamy mouthfeel is maintained. It’s really well balanced with fudgy chocolate, light roast, and deep caramel notes with a slightly sweet profile.
